Really lovely staff and service in here! Great range of food from traditional fry-ups to Greek mezes. The coffee's good too. There's parking outside and it's right opposite the metrolink stop. There's outside seating if the weather is good, and it's got a nice range of table sizes inside too.
There's lots of fresh juices and a range of soft drinks, and it's really reasonably priced for what you get.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area! -

I had a take away from this haunt on Thursday.
I opted for a chicken and pepper pizza. The dough was perfect! I really like this place, I've had full English breakfast from here also which went down a treat.
It's very reasonably priced. The delivery was speedy but If you choose to eat in, the restaurant is nice and clean with a cool decor.
Highly recommended

TL;DR : Excellent burger, great fries, brilliant staff, not great for collection outside of immediate area (parking in Didsbury is tricky!), you should visit!
As I work (kinda) nearby to Didsbury, I decided to check out the local food scene for lunch one day. After a quick browse of Just Eat listings for the area about my office, I decided on Didsbury Kitchen.
Placed my order online for collection, as they don't deliver until the evening. I went for the Didsbury Angus burger, which at £7.95 with chips seemed like a steal.
When it came time to collect the food, I had the unfortunate task of venturing into Didsbury by car. The constant struggle that is parking in Didsbury aside, there was a little bit of a wait for my order past the scheduled pickup time. Wouldn't complain, though; as an apology for the delay, they gave me extra chips on top of what was already a good amount of food.
The burger itself was great. Very tasty, excellent amount of toppings, and served on a fresh ciabatta as a pleasant change from brioche. The chips were also good; chunky cut, hot and crispy.
If you're in the Didsbury area and want good, home-style food done well, I would recommend the Didsbury Kitchen. -

I found Didsbury Kitchen to be quite grim.
The mis-matched furniture and weird and wonderful wall art should give it a quirky/trendy vibe, however as they have an open kitchen, the grease and smoke from the grill musks the ambience and makes the whole experience quite unpleaseant, especially when they're busy and have multiple orders on the go at once.
I ordered myself a vailla latte and a chunk of their chocolate brownie - the price of which was about the same as visiting Costa or another big chain coffee place, this I found quite shocking, because surely these independant places should try to compete with the chains, instead of price matching. It would only seem reasonable to do this if their coffee and cake was exceptionally good/different, however they're far off the mark here. The cups looked like they'd been used and used and due to this they didn't look 100% clean - a little bit worrying, especially when it's winter and there's multiple different bugs/viruses going round. Also the amount of vanilla that was squired into my latte was enough to send me on a sugar high, so much so that I had to leave my brownie for quite some time.
The brownie was OK, but would probably pass for chocolate cake covered in chocolate icing more than a brownie.
It was nice to leave this place and head back out into the fresh air to be honest.
This is a place that I certainly wouldn't recommend, especially considering its a short walk from Burton Road where the coffee and cake choices are exceptional and the venues are much more crisp, fresh and welcoming. -

Situated in a perfect position on Lapwing Lane, The Didsbury Kitchen should be booming.
In reality, how this place is still in business is beyond me.
The decor and surroundings are nice and clean, prices are somewhat reasonable, but the service is shocking.
We where advised it would be a 15 minute wait, that was fine, this turned out to be 45 minutes before we even got the coffees we ordered, it was an hour before food arrived. It was very average when it did finally arrive.
The Mother and Son sat next to us got their order of drinks duplicated before we even got our first ones!
All we got was a 'sorry, we are very busy' It wasn't busy, there where at most 10 people sat in, half of which where already eating.
It seemed like none of the staff knew what their job roles where and everyone just scuttled about like headless chickens.
Service like this annoys the s**t out of me because it's pathetic to run a business like this and not get it rectified.
Needless to say I will not be returning to here and anyone that does needs their head examining.
